Peddling Pastry Every Sunday
I wrote about the Pastry Peddler in the depths of winter when all we could do was think about riding. After months of pastry deprivation I took my camera down the Millbrook for a snack. Not much of a date, I know, but after a long winter Colin and Dee were happy to see us both. You see, they love to have cyclists(and their cameras) come by their bakery. Sure, they will peddle their pastry to anyone but I honestly believe that they have a very soft spot for the cycling community. This may be the only place in the Kawarthas where bikes leaned up against the shop window actually compliment the interior.
I love this place. I love the riding down around Millbrook. I love dropping by for a chat. I love eating pastries. The food is superb and the coffee is of the same high caliber. And now …wait for it ….another second …THE PASTRY PEDDLER IS OPEN SUNDAYS! That, my friends, should make you weekend riders very, very happy.

Colin! I’ll be by to see you, like I did in Lakefield and the Farmer’s Market
Great work, my friend!
Excellent recommendations for a Sunday Ride! I’ve sampled the wares via the Peterborough Farmers Market and look forward to visiting the Millbrook locale for some mid-ride sustanance.
The good folks at the Pastry Pedlar are also the sponsors of a Team riding in the Becel Heart and Stroke Ride… June 5th.

Next time I’m in town. Kieran you have to take Lee-Anne and I there.
